9/18 It’s Good to be Back

It was great to be back in the classroom today. The district meeting was informative and a good review of professional development K-2 teachers participated in last year.

Please reinforce with your children that even though they may think they are playing when they put their hands on another student, the other child may not see it that way. The substitute in my room yesterday, left a message that several students had their hands on other classmates which disrupted the lessons and the learning.

Your children did a lot of work today. They worked on two addition and subtraction fact activities, read independently and with their classmates, started writing a new story about how they have fun with their family, worked on some old stories, and listened for the subtle difference between the sounds of “short e” and “short i”.

Have a great afternoon and evening.
